We recognize the following
responsibilities as special event security duties. They are not
limited to, but include the following duties. Special
duties given upon arrival are to be in addition to the following
duties. Standard special event security officer duties
with most of our clients are as follows:

Extending hospitality and
services to all staff and guests.

Provision of a safe
environment for guests and staff.

Medical assistance as needed.
-
Evacuation assistance as
needed.
-
Checking and ensuring
accessibility of all fire extinguishers.
-
Crowd control through
patrolling and de-escalation techniques.
-
Immediate confiscation of
unauthorized drugs, alcohol, & weapons.
-
Patrolling the restrooms for
guest safety.
-
Monitoring alcohol levels of
guests and making recommendations to staff and management
(no officer shall remove a guest or speak to a guest
concerning drunkenness without consenting with management
first).

Escorting guests out of the
facility when instructed by management and offering
assistance with transportation (taxi, train, etc.).
-
Keeping guests off of
furniture and limiting all destructive behavior that would
compromise State Room property.
-
Monitoring coat check for
suspicious behavior (smuggling in alcohol, drugs, or
weapons).
-
Directing traffic to passenger
and freight elevators, restrooms, coat check, emergency
stairwells, and overall floor space.
-
Ensuring entrances and exits
to rooms, elevators, and stairwells are not blocked or
crowded by guests or other objects.
-
Correspondence with public
authorities, such as Boston Police, Boston Fire Department,
and Boston EMS as necessary.
-
Diffusing any physical
altercations that occur throughout the event and handling
them under the discretion of management.
